Hitman Absolution is a game based on the Hitman series. It might be a really good game for those who have never played it, but it is no new thing to those who have already played it before. The graphics though, have greatly improved since the last PC versions and you will be amazed at the detail they put into the graphics, textures, lightning and shadows to the game.
Apart from that, you will have a lot of weapons, including the weapons you had at the previous games. Your objective is clear, kill the target remaning unseen without any trace. The difficulties were more than last time, you had 5 of them and you can start directly from the most difficult one.
The game has a lot of missions. One thing to notice, is that the more notoriety you get in the previews levels, the more difficult the game will become. It is normally based on your difficulty choice though, so don't expect easy tasks from different difficulties. While there are circumstances you might not get the idea of what to do next, you will always use your special skill to understand where to go. The first level is very easy and if you ask me, it is a kind of little tutorial.
Using different weapons in the game, like pistols without a silencer, is not a good idea, but they server well if you just want to get rid of some people who block your way. Stealth is your weapon, so you better use it with logic and trap your enemies. You can get different costumes in a particular level, in order to avoid attention, but still the enemies might recognize you, so you will have to use your special skill again, to get rid of the circumstance.
Throwing your dead enemies in trashes, or making them to jump off the balcony, is a good idea, since none will notice at all and you will remain hidden. The objective is not exactly going to the person you are about to kill, but remaining stealth all the time. The more enemies you kill, the more difficult the game will become for you, so don't think that killing is a good thing in this game. Having two silenced weapons, can make you use adrenaline and kill enemies very fast. They will normally attack you and it might be your end. They will get alerted and will call for reinforcements, but you have health, so you won't get killed with a single shot.
The graphics engine has notably evolved. I really liked the lightning or the sky which gives the idea like squares of a virtual area. You might expect much more trouble than the previous Hitman series and more weapons, but talking about gameplay, it is certainly the same. Little stuff might have changed, but I personally didn't notice at all. The story is another one, but objectives remain the same, killing people, getting the briefcase or other minor/secondary objectives. You can retrieve some source to remove your tracking during levels, but they will be tough to find, since they are considered as secrets in the game.
